Pioneer Foods seek a suitably qualified Manager Maintenance I at their Pioneer Foods, Groceries, Beverages in Wadeville, Germiston, Gauteng. The successful candidate will be a qualified trade tested artisan/hold a diploma/degree in either electrical or mechatronic engineering managing a team of artisans, with 6 years experince in the FMCG environment with at least four of those years spent at a management/ supervisory level. The prefered candidate will be an Electronic/ Electrical specialist with extensive experience in PLC/ Automation and Preventative Maintenance. Their ability to effectively manage people will be a critical success factor in this role as is their willingness to be flexible and adaptable in a dynamic environment. Key to the role will be ensuring sustainable maintenance programs are in operation while also driving OEE improvement, conversion cost reduction, and risk mitigation.

SPECIFIC OUTPUTS:

• Implemented preventative maintenance and optimised plant, vehicle or equipment .
• Manage internal maintenance projects and controlled maintenance cost, equipment & spares inventory.
• Implemented equipment upgrades & enhancements.
• Ensured occupational safety and health.
• Managed team.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:

• Six years relevant experience within the manufacturing environment.
• Four years supervisory /managerial experience

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Relevant Technical Trade (N5)

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Computer skills including SAP, MM, SD, MS Office, PLC, etc.
• Knowledge of specialized PLC, process automation, variable speed drives and process software programming.
• Project Management Experience.
• Overall working knowledge of water filtration/management processes.
