    Technical Pre-Sales Engineer

    Job description

    The Technical Pre-Sales Engineer works closely with our solution sales team and uses both technical and business skills to demonstrate and motivate Google Cloud Services to our clients and problem solve customer's technical hurdles along the way to ultimately help the sales team to move propositions forward to closure as efficiently and effectively as possible. This position will need to solve challenging and complex technical problems ranging from infrastructure migration, network optimization, security best practices and much more but also hold a conversation explaining the workings on Data Flows, BigQuery and Machine Learning

    To qualify you will need:

    • A professional IT qualification (BSc Computer Science / IT Diploma / MCSE etc) or equivalent practical experience
    • Prior experience as a technical sales engineer in a cloud computing environment or equivalent experience in a customer facing role
    • At least 3-5 years experience as a member of a professional services or systems engineering team.
    • Experience in cloud technologies such as architecting, developing or maintaining cloud solutions in cloud environments
    • Some development and coding experience - ideally C#, Javascript or XML will be advantageous.
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft Exchange environments.
    • Experience in integrating solutions.
    • Good knowledge of corporate email platforms (Exchange / Google Apps / Lotus Domino)
    • It is an advantage if the candidate has worked with G Suite and/or Google Cloud Platform before.

    Additional Criteria

    • Excellent verbal and written skills in English.
    • Can discuss technical services confidently and comfortably at boardroom level and build rapport with clients
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to deal in a friendly,courteous and diplomatic manner with clients and internal teams.
    • Dynamic go-getter who loves a challenge.
    • Ability to self-manage workload / tasks.
    • Ability to learn and stay up to date with technologies changing on a daily basis.
    • Strong problem solving skills, work prioritization and escalation skills.
    • Willing to travel as and when required.
