Job Description
Key Performance Outputs

The successful person will be reporting to the Senior Manager: Airport Systems and will be responsible to:

• Translate business requirements into economical, efficient and effective IT strategies and roadmaps.
• Ensure application system uptime meets / exceeds SLA.
• Reduce impact of outages and incidents caused by poor configuration management, lack of maintenance.
• Ensure all application systems support redundancy, High availability in line with defined strategies
• Perform change management related activities in line with Change Management process
• Manage all contracts throughout their life cycle
• Arrange and Facilitate meeting between IT, business, Stakeholders and Services Providers
• Ensure that document are created and maintained for all applicants (including process flow diagrams, application code, Functional and Technical requirements).
• Capture budget requirements, forecast and invoices
• Ensure that proactive problem identification and root cause analysis are performed
• Manage the implementation of enterprise architecture
• Adhere and enforce compliance to all policies and procedures
• Provide input to all management reports (MANCO, EXCO and Steerco).
• Adhere to and ensure adherence to statutory regulations, organisational standards, guidelines, policies and procedures

Technical Skills and Experience

The following skills and experience will be required:

• ABachelor’s Degree in Computer Sciences / Information Technology / Informatics;
• Management of applications teams that includes (Developers and Application Support)
• Knowledge of best practices in the application development and maintenance (SDLC)
• Knowledge of agile application development methods and tools
• Knowledge of cross platform development tools
• Knowledge of Integration / Interfacing of systems
• 7years Management experience in an IT environment;
• 3 - 5 years Supervisory experience in an Application Development and Supportenvironment.

Exceptional skills in writing and reporting, planning and organizing, and good communications skills are essential. Attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure are critical in this deadline driven environment. Furthermore, the successful candidate should display interpersonal skills combined with unquestionable leadership abilities.
