As a Warehouse Manager, you will form part of the Gyproc within Saint-Gobain reporting to the Plant Manager

As a Warehouse Manager you will be accountable for ensuring that a high level of stock accuracy and correct inventory levels is maintained at all times , to deliver on our commitment to Customer Service, while at the same time adhering to SG group standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth and efficient operation of the Finished goods, Local and Imported merchandise and Raw material warehouse.
• Maintain control of dispatch and production forklift operations in accordance with applicable works instructions.
• Ensure that high degree of customer service is maintained, through speed, accuracy and quality of the loading function.
• Ensuring all SAP and admin related functions are timeously done.
• Perform other tasks as specified by the plant manager.
• Responsible that SRA and Stock takes are conducted as per company policy.
• Ensure that subordinates obey general Factory and Safety rules as per laid down policy/procedures and regulations
• Manage and control of integrated warehouse and base operations activities in the most effective and efficient manner.
• Conduct risk assessments on warehouse management, review documentation and implement control measures on regulatory and statutory compliances.
• Provide guidance to users with respect to compliance to company policies & procedures.
• Responsible for guiding and support in establishing warehouse and base operations by developing new processes, customizing procedures and training of personnel.
• Provide expertise on warehouse and base operations policies and procedures and other relevant matters to domestic operations.
• Responsible for People Management of direct subordinates

REQUIREMENTS

• Matric or equivalent
• Degree in Supply Chain/Logistics Must have
• CPIM adv
• Industrial Engineering Qualification advantageous
• 4 years’ experience in logistics, inventory control and warehouse supervision within production planning environment
• SAP Experience (Click View Adv)
• Understand the basics of Supply Chain Management.
• Lean/WCM tool usage
• Access / excel
• Interpretation of CSI
• Budgets and Capex application
