What you will do in the role

We are looking for a Marketing Executive to support our business development, student and investor teams on a 12 month fixed term contract.

Your responsibilities will include the following:

• Email marketing (Initially +-40% of your time)
• Manage investor and student email marketing execution via ExactTarget (Salesforce Marketing Cloud); this includes monitoring, optimising and reporting on the success of automated email journeys
• Email marketing copywriting e.g. the investor newsletter, community comms, student newsletters and other marketing & sales communications
• Communications and content (+- 50% of your time)
• Support the head of PR and Content with content generation and management
• Copywriting responsibilities: Partner content generation, proofreading wider business comms, crafting letters to borrowers/students/partners, reviewing documents, writing social media posts, blog and website content generation
• Contact point for ideas and brainstorming, commissioning as well as articles, maintaining content calendar, publishing content, monitoring comments, and keyword management support for the Digital Marketing team
• Case studies; working with our ambassador and community team to write and own case studies process
• Investor marketing (+- 10% of your time)
• Own the white paper series; including briefing student researchers, briefing designer on front cover, briefing copywriter and reviewing drafts
• Manage freelance researcher working on projects such as finding social impact organisations and content partners to work with where we can promote the Prodigy Finance investment suite of products
• Manage the briefing of investor collateral, such as fact cards and one pagers
• Event management and support: ensuring collateral and banners are available for events, attending events to support BD Team and Investor Sales (This will take place once the majority of the ExactTarget execution is in place)

• Able to diagnose issues, find the necessary data, analyse the alternatives, and engage in a methodical problem solving process
• Aligns and prioritises actions and resources in advance to achieve the best possible outcomes
• Start-up DNA; resilient, 80/20, carpe diem, gets things done, adaptable to change, huge capacity for hard work in a relentlessly fast paced environment

Who we are looking for; track record must haves

• Experience in marketing/communications/content management
• Strong copywriting skills, with a portfolio of writing to demonstrate your ability
• Experience with ExactTarget and Journey Builder (part of SFMC) is essential
• Excellent grammar and written English
• Experience working within a compliance regulated environment.
• A pro at using Microsoft Office
• Experience that would be nice to have (but we’ll trade off if everything else fits)

Start-up experience.
