Sales Rep Trauma at Smith & Nephew

Job description
You as the successful candidate will be responsible for the successful launch, promotion and sales of your specific product range to Orthopaedic Surgeons and Operating room theatre staff. The continuing education in the correct application and usage of these products in the sales territory allocated to the incumbent is paramount. You will need to be technically competent and aware of what their competitors are doing to ensure that they maintain the competitive edge.

Minimum Entry Requirements
Education  

• Matric
• Tertiary qualification in the medical field

Experience

• Proven sales experience in the medical field.
• Theatre exposure
• Orthopaedic exposure

Key Performance Area         

• To attain and exceed targeted sales.
• To develop and maintain a regular calling pattern and to report accordingly.
• To ensure that all customers are fully cognisant of the product range.
• To attend regular ward rounds to give technical advice.
• To monitor competitive activity
• To charge, record and submit correct loan / consignment implant usage to c/service for quotation/invoicing purposes.
• To identify & feedback to S&N on the need for consignment placement.
• To account and conduct regular/periodic stock maintenance & checks at hospitals where there's consignments.
• To actively manage WTI and ensure that order numbers are obtained timeously
