Junior Production Planner at Syngenta

Job description

Role Purpose

• Responsible for detail 3 weeks Production scheduling
• Responsible for Managing 3 Months view of the Production Plan both firmed Demand and Non firmed Demands
• Utilize Syngenta assets to operate the costs effectively
• Closely monitor the result of MRP, look after material requirement plan system generated.
• Coordinate reworking related Stock and ensure the efficiency of rework process.
• Production order fulfillment analysis and summarization for continuous improvement.
• Proactive resolution of issues/recommendation of options.
• Part Purchasing of Raw Materials.

Accountabilities

• Working closely with the Planning Manager, understand supply requirements with given monthly production plan.
• Check gSAP system MRP updating, check the correctiveness of material requirement plan after MRP run.
• Co-work with vendor scheduler; double check the correctiveness of rolling material forecast to supplier.
• Co-Work with Warehouse Supervisor, verification of stock accuracy
• Co-Work with Production Technicians, confirmation of Production completion date, ADR and plan adherence.
• Fully understand site production line flexibility and production capacity, labour constraints, well communicate with on line supervisors, and work out weekly production plan with 4 weeks rolling by effective use our assets.
• Communicate with site people timely and well known on line production issues, adjust weekly production plan and if any urgent sales call.
• Alarm well in advance with kinds of issues, such as material constraints, and production line capacity issues, to check if monthly plan requires revise.
• Assist to set up material safety stock reasonably, work with colleagues to achieve inventory target.
• Monitor the execution of the production order.
• Initiate weekly production meeting with Production, Engineering, QC and Ware House and so on.

Knowledge, experience and capabilities

Critical knowledge

• Knowledge and understanding of supply chain concepts and methodologies including MRP, S&OP.
• Strong computer system skills: thorough familiarity with all Microsoft applications and preferred familiarity with applications such as SAP R/3,
• BSc Chemical Engineer

• Ability for trouble shooting
