Job description

I have a large automotive company with their Head Office in Sandton who is currently seeking a MS SQL Report Developer / Data Analyst with 3 years experience to join the team.

Someone who is passionate about BI and SQL and wants to continue to learn new technologies need to apply.

You will be involved in the following functions:

• Developing reports using SSIS, SSAS and / or SQL Server
• Designing and developing database models
• Developing Database Views, Functions, User Defined Types and Stored Procedures in line with Business Requirements
• Developing SQL server reporting models
• Developing data warehousing
• Developing complex reporting and data extract requirements
• Designing and developing advanced ETL processes
• Review SQL code and ensure compliance with best practices and ensure optimal performance when released to the production environments
• Data analysis for internal and external users
• Support and maintain existing database and BI systems
• Research and Self Training on latest technologies

What is needed from you:

• Excellent experience in the MS SQL Skillset
• Strong Excel skills (nested formulas, pivot tables, etc)
• Minimum 2–3 years’ experience using SSIS and SSRS (BI Stack)
• Passion for BI/MI
• Willingness to self-teach on latest technologies – Microsoft power bi – Azure
• Excellent numeric and analytical skills
• Sound problem solving skills
• Application of quality controls with all reports data sources
• Ability to analyse and report on data
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and work well under pressure
• Ability to work independently
• Strong ability to multi-task
• Resourcefulness in resolving problems and establishing clarity
• Must be a self-starter
