    Sales Representative - S&P Global

    Job description

    Position Description

    Role Purpose

    The purpose of the role is to work on existing accounts and manage the day to day end user care and maintenance of the accounts, drive customer satisfaction and adoption within existing accounts and monitor usage and keep Sales Representatives up to date with relevant statistics;

    The Impact

    • Contact existing users based on usage stats, renewals;
    • Ensure that all users have received appropriate training and that product is customized according to the user’s role and workflow;
    • Ensure timely execution of all renewals on Sales Representatives’ account list;
    • Manage contracts for all renewals and upsells on all accounts;
    • Look to fill and process new contracts on the data, Custom and IP side;
    • Process contracts through Salesforce once agreements are signed;
    • Follow up with the respective legal team as well as sales team to ensure turnaround in a timely manner
    • Responsible for coordinating all model, portfolio, alerts and screen conversions ahead of trial with corresponding internal teams
    • Ensure that users are set up with access to appropriate products and entitlements
    • Prospect by looking to expand trials into more users or departments with enhanced capabilities
    • Offer follow up training for each user during the course of the trial
    • Refer all feedback and relevant information to Sales Representatives
    • Be able to conduct demos when necessary
    • May set up meetings with the client if you hold relationship
    • Might cold call new prospects
    • Submit all bugs / enhancements and follow up with users accordingly

    • Be able to create strong relationships with clients and prospects, addressing their needs, and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction;
    • Demonstrate a strong understanding of financial concepts and principles such as financial statement analysis, business valuation, cash flow, company reporting, stock selection, fixed income, risk management and credit assessment;
    • Develop an exceptional understanding of, and staying current on, the S&P Dow Jones products and functionality and their application to specific clients;
    • Staying current on competitor offerings to identify the strengths and vulnerabilities of the S&P Dow Jones offerings in comparison;
    • Collaborating effectively across teams as well as creating an atmosphere of trust and open communication;
    • Be able to work under pressure and strong organisational skills. The role requires the ability to multi task and manage conflicting priorities;
    • Be able and willing to travel;
    • Be able to work in a changing/transitioning environment.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
    • Working experience required in a similar role in the financial sector (either at a vendor or a buy-side institution)
    • Strong presentation and communication skills (face to face, large groups, remotely - WebEx)
    • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and intermediate knowledge of MS Office
    • Fluency in English.
