Platform Developer - Ruby, Go, Python, PHP at OneConfig

Job description

We’re looking for an experienced developer to join our dynamic team. The right candidate will be responsible for the continuous development and improvement of the OneConfig products and services.

We are a fast paced, tight-knit, collaborative team.

The day-to-day:

• Lead development of new features for the future of the OneConfig Platform, including APIs and services.
• Collaborate with people across all facets of the business to deliver and launch projects.
• Help grow the platform by actively participating in code reviews, pair programming, training and mentoring.

Must have:

• BS in Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years experience with shipping production code in any of Go, Ruby, Python or PHP.

Nice to have:

• Proficient with web technologies and databases (NoSQL and RDBMS) and RESTful APIs.
• Ability to think of business concerns beyond engineering and experience working with cross-functional feature teams.
• Passionate about pragmatic code design and strong desire to contribute to a small team.
• Knowledge of service-oriented architecture (SOA) and/or micro-services architecture (MSA).
• Good understanding of Linux and how to best harness it for performance.
• Some networking experience (network programming, network security, protocols, etc.).
