Job Description

Java Technology Platform professionals develop application using Java technology. The Java technology platform is a computing environment that allows for developing and executing applications for small and mobile devices (consumer and embedded systems), PC desktops and medium to large businesses.

A professional at this position level within Accenture has the following responsibilities:

• Adapts existing methods and procedures to create possible alternative solutions to moderately complex problems.
• Understands the strategic direction set by senior management as it relates to team goals.
• Uses considerable judgment to determine solution and seeks guidance on complex problems.
• Primary upward interaction is with direct supervisor. May interact with peers and/or management levels at a client and/or within Accenture.
• Determines methods and procedures on new assignments with guidance.
• Decisions often impact the team in which they reside.
• Manages small teams and/or work efforts (if in an individual contributor role) at a client or within Accenture.
• Skills, Experience & Qualifications:
•  Experience in Java Technology Platform/Java Technology Platform
•  Ability to meet travel requirements, when applicable
•  Relevant B-Tech, IT Diploma or Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.
•  Oracle Java Certification (e.g. SCJP / OCJP etc.) is an advantage.

Additional:

•  Java Skills: J2SE, J2EE, EJB, WebServices (HTTP SOAP / REST), JSP, JSF, JPA, Hibernate, JDBC.
•  Java Experience with UML, SDLC, and Agile is beneficial.
•  HTML / XML Skills: HTML, XHTML, XML validation and processing.
•  Experience working with J2EE Application servers: JBoss, WebLogic, WebSphere, Glassfish, Apache Tomcat etc.
•  Experience working with RDBMS: MySQL, Postgres, MSSQL, Oracle 11 g etc.
•  Experiences in using IDEs: Eclipse, Netbeans, Jdeveloper etc.
•  Experience with Build, repository and CI tools such as Ant and Maven, Subversion, CVS and Hudson / Jenkins.
