Job Description

Key Performance Areas:

• Ensure brand development and creative execution as well as a holistic understanding of how the successful implementation of these affect sales and marketing objectives
• Develop highly effective marketing plans through a deep understanding of the customer and the brand’s target market, which in turn will achieve profit and maximizes the brand’s long-term potential
• Plan and manage the implementation of direct marketing strategies across all channels (print and digital) to deliver business objectives and support the FinChoice brand and achieve our vision of being our customers’ favourite digital financial services provider
• Create and drive brand strategies such as positioning, scheduling, and deciding on the selling platform
• Create new branded items and sell initiatives, market the company image and positioning throughout the industry
• Develop innovative campaigns that will set our products apart from the competition and build strong customer relationships
• Develop and execute customer pricing and promotions, as well as understand trends in the sales performance and adjust plans accordingly in order to meet the sales target

Requirements

Qualifications & Accreditations

• 3 Year B Degree or equivalent tertiary qualification with one of the following majors: Communication, English, Journalism and /or Advertising

Experience & Skills

• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a similar role or at an advertising agency
• Exceptional command of English, both written and verbal
• Copywriting experience, preferably within a financial services and / or below-the-line environment
• Excellent computer literacy in InDesign and MS Office suite
• Proven experience in producing excellent campaigns with minimum guidance
• Ability to work across a variety of media from digital to print, brochures, posters and editorials
• Conceptual skills (including promotions and competitions)
• Digital experience (web copy, Facebook, emails, mobiz, SMS, blog posts, etc.)
• Direct mail experience will be beneficial (writing customers letters)
• Ability to simplify the complex and make it customer-friendly
• Able to put presentations together and present your work
• Able to edit, rewrite and proof copy
