    Supply Chain Business Analyst

    Job description

    Main Purpose:

    Responsible for understanding the business on both an operational and IT level to ensure understanding of business requirements for any proposed solution. With the ability to conceptualize any such solutions.

    Report developers are responsible for developing robust, optimized reports, based on specifications, standards and best practices.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    The candidate should be able to effectively prioritize workloads and tasks, have fair presentation skills with experience in presenting to an audience, should also be able to work well as part of a team and independently. He/she should be flexible and adaptable to the changing demands in a fast paced environment.

    • Willingness to work beyond normal working hours when required and being flexible to adapt to deadlines
    • Help build collaborative relationships across DSV business units
    • Be attuned to best practices and trends
    • Develop and analyse clients’ needs into a prioritization matrix
    • Create reports, dashboards and relevant visualizations to communicate analysis results
    • Collection and analysis of client data
    • Excellent problem solving skills
    • Very strong analytical skills and numerical literacy

    Qualifications:

    • Grade 12 / Standard 10 Certificate. - essential
    • B.Com Logistics Management - advantageous
    • Minimum: 3-year Diploma in (IT / Business Analytics / Supply Chain) - essential

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Knowledge of Supply Chain industry (Freight Forwarding) preferred
    • Problem-solving and analytical skills
    • Ability to manage multiple complex tasks
    • Must be able to manage time-lines under pressure
    • Willingness to learn and apply new software applications within the business environment
    • Work closely with end users to understand requirements in order to develop requisite solutions.
    • Use/develop skills of using and interpreting process flow charts
    • Conduct user acceptance testing of all proposed/implemented solutions
