Job description

The Financial Manager position at Greymatter & Finch is integral in ensuring our financial stability by maintaining accurate and up to date financial information, and identifying opportunities through analysis of monthly, quarterly & annual financial results.

Key performance areas:

• ­Monthly business reporting of management accounts;
• ­Monthly and ad hoc analysis with recommendations to the MD & COO regarding strategies for improving the company’s financial strength;
• ­NB: managing cash flow;
• ­Ensuring projections and other information are correct;
• ­Managing daily financial operations;
• ­Tax management, budgeting, establishing financial controls;
• ­Human resource financial administration including full payroll processing and third party payments;
• ­Performing various ad hoc unspecified tasks as and when requested by the managing director (such as drawing up propensity and profit models etc.)
• ­Manage all functions within the financial department;
• ­Leadership within the financial department and the organisation;
• ­Contract outside services for tax preparation, auditing, banking, investments, and other financial needs if necessary, and oversee these services;
• ­Constantly seek and find methods for minimising financial risk to the company;
• ­Understand and ensure financial compliance;
• ­Understanding of data privacy standards; and
• ­Create and implement financial policies and processes

Qualifications and specifications:

• Degree in a finance related field, further qualifications and specialisations would be beneficial
• ­Microsoft excel experience
• ­Pastel Evolution experience
• ­Pastel Payroll experience
• ­5-8 years’ general finance experience
