Qualification

Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Science (including registration with South African Veterinary Council)

Experience

Minimum 2 years Veterinary Science experience (across any species)

Job Description

• To provide technical expertise to customers; Business Unit team and Marketing to ensure the long term profitability and growth of the Animal Health business
• To contribute and support the Business Unit in achieving the annual sales target
• To establish, maintain and grow industry relationships
• Develop and implement innovative technical support service programs for large customers or veterinary practices, to manage products sustainably
• In alliance with Regulatory, oversee, report and assign causality to Business Unit specific adverse events in accordance with the pharmacovigilence / compliance responsibilities
• To be the # 1 value contributor to customers

Key Objectives/Deliverables

• To provide technical training to sales representatives on the products within the range, ensuring that marketing material is technically accurate
• Prepare and continually update technical presentations for the sales team to utilise for the full product range
• Provide technical comparison with competitor products and inform the marketing and sales staff
• Take a proactive role in forming working relationships and supplying information to various groups that support the specific animal business industry
• Provide technical product support by developing and implementing innovative technical support service programs for large customers or veterinary practises to manage products sustainably
• Provide expert advice in product launches and product life cycle management
• Design and manage trials to test new and existing products for maximising commercial success of products in the target markets
