We are looking for a Senior Sales Manager who will:

• Generate profitable sales and market share for both energy capital and service business including power plant, recovery boiler, evaporation and environmental system solutions;
• Manage and develop local sales and service operations in Sub Saharan Africa
• Support customer project execution as applicable
• Promote sales and marketing of local service solutions and agreement based services
• As a Senior Sales Manager you will be responsible for the sales budget and action plans and managing customer contacts, enquiries and leads, giving presentations, participating in or leading sales negotiations, preparing sales proposals and contracts in close cooperation with Capital and Service Operations located in Finland and Sweden. Also, as part of your duties is to implement the marketing actions and product launches as jointly planned with the relevant Business Unit and actively follow-up market and competitor intelligence in South Africa and focus countries in Sub Saharan Africa.
• To ensure successful results, you will also take care of the reference management incl. customer feedback and satisfaction; you will develop a local partner and subcontractor network; you will follow-up account receivables, warranty and quality issues.

Requirements:

The candidate we are looking for has:

• technical background, with a minimum Bachelor in Engineering degree or equivalent in mechanical/process/thermal engineering
• good knowledge of power generation processes
• minimum 5 years’ experience from power plant operation and/or engineering and proven relevant records.
• good leadership and communication skills
• fluent English written and spoken
• service minded approach
• willingness to travel both locally in South Africa and abroad
• good installation and engineering experience as advantage.
