Job Description

An opening has arisen for a Case Coordinator in Johannesburg. This role requires an incumbent with strong administrative flair.

The Case Coordinator will be responsible for the process of obtaining re-imbursement for Negative Pressure Wound Therapy (NPWT) in the Private Sector.

This will be conducted in alignment with marketing and sales strategies to ensure short, medium and long term profitability of the products.

The successful candidate will:

Key Performance Areas

• To manage and monitor the process to facilitate re-imbursement through completed pre-authorization and ongoing progress report forms per patient.
• To develop and educate the private Clinical Support and funder case managers in NPWT protocol.

Key Functions/Tasks

• Case Management
• Manages and monitors the pre-authorization process by facilitating re-imbursement of NPWT by ensuring completed
• Motivation forms
• ICD Coding
• Progress reports
• Declined authorizations
• NPWT Conversions
• Trains and supports Clinical Support in NPWT procedures and protocols relating to the pre- authorization
• process.
• Trains Funder case managers in NPWT, and interacts on a regular basis to resolve issues.
• Submits monthly reports as required by management
• Develops and maintains a key contact database
• Submits key contact reports.
• Ensures that monthly planner is submitted as required by management.

Education

• Nursing degree
• Experience
• Previous nursing experience
• Knowledge of the medical aid and wound care industry.
