Position Synopsis

The purpose of this role is to develop, deploy, and continuously improve maintenance work management strategies for Aluminium SA.

Requirements

• Serious contenders will have a BSc/B Degree in Electrical Engineering (preferably HV & Rectifiers) with a minimum of 5 years' experience in reliability and/or engineering field within a maintenance environment in a plant operation;
• An intimate knowledge of Maintenance Process and RCM is essential;
• Knowledge of the use and application of predictive & preventative maintenance tools (i.e. tribology and conditioning monitoring principles) is essential;
• Be able to apply sound (RCA) principles to eliminate repetitive failures;
• Government Certificate of Competence (GCC) will be advantageous.

CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Building and developing equipment maintenance strategies for all equipment within the operations;
• Ensuring all associated task lists and work instructions are accurately documented and loaded into 1SAP;
• Developing a maintenance budget based on the preventative and corrective maintenance work strategies in 1SAP;
• Performing equipment strategy reviews and failure analysis to ensure that all task lists and work instructions remain accurate and relevant;
• Ensuring that 1SAP Master Data is updated accordingly;
• Reviewing and analysing work management metrics to ensure compliance to the 1SAP processes;
• Initiating engineering requests to improve equipment safety and reliability and monitoring the same until completion and Co-coordinating and/or presenting training to Maintenance department personnel.
