My client is a specialist in structural engineering firm and is extensively involved across industries where they partner with clients on some of the larger projects across Southern Africa. They are currently looking for highly skilled Project Planner to join their team of engineers in Mozambique. Should you meet the profile below, please do not hesitate to apply.

Responsibilities

• Assisting Project Manager with compilation of work scope per project through all project stages;
• Ability to support Site Manager;
• Compile schedules for scope changes;
• Compile Network diagrams;
• Developing Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) per project;
• Resource load schedules;
• Compile histograms;
• Critical path analysis;
• Lead, set-up and maintain policies, standards, guidelines, procedures and systems for effective project planning and scheduling;
• Determine and verify actual progress on activities and identifying progress variances/slippages;
• Highlight potential problem areas and recommend corrective actions to project site team;
• Compile recovery plans;
• Calculate and substantiate extension of time claims;
• Determine delay impacts on schedule;
• Reviewing contractor and/or 3rd party schedules;
• Integrate contractor programmes into Master schedule;

Compile Report for use by Project Manager, Lead Planner and Project Team such as:

• Progress report (all types);
• Daily, weekly, monthly reports as required;
• Schedule deviation reports;
• Compile and maintain S-curves;
• Adhoc reports.

Requirements: Qualification and Skill

• National Diploma or Degree in Building and/or Engineering Field;
• Certificate in MS Projects and/or Project Management;
• 5+ years planning/scheduling experience;
• SMPP experience (preference will be given to candidates);
• Highly proficient in MS Office/Projects 2007+;
• Strong reporting capabilities;
• Site planning experience.
