Responsibilities

• Implementing the demand creation and mobilization work plan to achieve the goals of the project;
• Together with the M&E team, implement the linkage and tracing workplan;
• Liaise with the communities, community leaders, the DoH and other partners when mobilizing for HIV testing and related services under the project;
• Identify and secure venues for the HCT campaigns in liaison with the Linkage and Mobilization Coordinator;
• When required, supervise and mentor volunteer linkage & mobilization assistants on stipend;
• Conduct individual, couple, family and group counseling of clients when appropriate and required;
• Recording of mobilization/demand creation and linkage & tracing activities as required;
• Produce reports on mobilization/demand creation and linkage / tracing activities;
• Participate in the design of linkage and mobilization procedure for the project;
• Ensures compliance to all AHF policies and procedures;
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Matric, and/or;
• Diploma or Certificate in Marketing or Community Work or Public Relations or Social Sciences or Health Sciences; or a Training in HIV counseling.
• Experience working in an HIV setting or working within an NGO environment, or in community work, will be highly advantageous.

Language Skills

• Should have good written, oral and interpersonal English communication skills.
• Knowledge and fluency in Zulu a must for this particular position.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret training materials and clinical/technical guidelines and protocols is required.

Education & Experience
