Main Job Purpose

Responsible for operational tasks related to logistics & pricing claims analysis and its resolution. Simplify and harmonize claims resolution process. Prevent repetitive issues through root cause analysis. Reduce claims resolution time. Eliminate price discrepancies on order level to reduce pricing claims.

Job Summary

• Analyze logistics & pricing claims that have been escalated to Assistant Manager
• Assess whether claims are compliant or not & identify recurring issues and ensure they are properly addressed
• Hold 3rd parties accountable for POD control and correcting pricing differences on orders to minimize claims
• Inform Customer Facing Specialist to contact customer to get clarification, if needed or to communicate rejection
• Ensure Depot and CG has created credit notes for approved claims and claims repository is updated.
• Ensure billing block for documents related to logistic & pricing claims are removed & controls are in place
• Ensure Cash Applicator Specialist has matched and cleared the credit/debit on the customer account & all unmatched debits/credits have been communicated timeously
• Ensure all claims are classified and moved to correct claims queue (stock & pricing)
• Hold team/ business partners/ 3rd parties accountable per SLA's for completeness and accuracy of data/ documents/ processes (Unscanned pods, missing copy claims, PODs not stamped/ signed etc)
• Ensure weekly and monthly updates on status of logistics & pricing claims are performed and provided to the business
• Identify and resolve recurring inefficiencies (people/process/system) and ensure they are addressed.
• Deliver workplan and targets through teams
• Supervision / management of high performing team
• Business Partner with counterparts, chair regular meetings and enlist assistance where required on operating inefficiencies
• Ensure business rules (SLA, Audit controls, KPIs) are adhered to
• Leading projects where required
• Document and maintain processes for business continuity
• Customer collaboration on disputes and resolution thereof for escalated issues
• Customer collaboration in terms of Price file verification
• Customer collaboration on resolution of price variances on the verification of files for all escalations
• Ensure product and customer hierarchy knowledge transfer & training has been complete for self-team
• Ensure no missing copy claims on Claims Tool
• Review escalation reports and follow-up on inefficiencies
• Motivating, coaching & developing team for better efficiencies

KEY REQUIREMENTS

• Completed Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/ Business/ Finance essential
• 5 – 7 years FMCG experience in Credit Management, Claims management, or related preferred
• Advanced use of MS Office applications essential
• Experience with SAP/ ERP systems essential.
