ASSISTANT PRODUCTION MANAGER

Reporting to the Production Manager the incumbent will be responsible for assisting the Production Manager with the dried mango and Avocado puree processing.

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS

• Degree/National Diploma in Food Technology or other relevant qualification
• Experience in Food Production Environment would be preferential
• HACCP/Food Safety related qualification
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong management and interpersonal skills
• A minimum of 2 – 3 years’ experience in a production/product development environment (FMCG)
• Have a sound knowledge of food safety and good manufacturing standards and practices (HCCP & IS00)
• Proficient computer skills
• Strong supervisory/people management skills

PERSON REQUIREMENTS

• Have well developed interpersonal skills and have the ability to build an innovative team.
• Be competent in trouble shooting
• Have effective communication skills, both written and oral.
• Be able to work independently.
• Basic understanding of stock control and stock management
• Ability to write SOP’s
• Good understanding of Labour Management
• Understanding of costs related to production processes
