ROLE PURPOSE

• Responsible for the following of best practices in developing specific applications to extract data from operating systems to assist in enabling management decisions.
• Division Legacy Solution

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

Minimum Requirement:

• Bachelor of Science Computer Science
• Minimum Requirement: 2 years relevant experience
• An Honours Degree in Computer Science/IT Engineering would be beneficial

THE WORK YOU NEED TO DELIVER

Customer Deliverables:

• Ensure the effective and consistent delivery of service and support to all internal clients

Internal Process Deliverables:

• Ensure the delivery of all architecture requirements in line with business strategy and architecture best practices
• Ensure that all infrastructure development is completed in line with architecture and development standards
• Ensure all non-functional testing is in line with department quality standards
• Ensure that implementation planning is in line with Momentum standards and processes
• Deliver quality reports within agreed timeframes
• Ensure quality documentation is in place; is updated; and is accessible to all relevant parties within agreed timeframes
• People Deliverables
• Manage own performance and development through ensuring a Performance Contract is in place; that quarterly performance review discussions with line management are completed and that a personal development plan is in place.

WHAT COMPETENCIES YOU'LL REQUIRE

• Familiar with data warehouse principles and methodologies (Kimbal / Inmon)
• Be familiar with agile development practices (Kanban)
• Be very familiar with ETL procedures, replication techniques and advanced T-SQL syntax to transform data
• Be able to troubleshoot bottlenecks and find solution on syntax running on extremely big and complicated data sets
