Job Description

 We're looking for a Network Operations Centre (NOC) Engineer to join our team. Solid supports businesses ranging from bootstrapped start-ups to large enterprise corporations. Our NOC Engineers are on the ball when it comes to remotely monitoring client systems and actioning alerts accordingly.

In this role, you will:

• Proactively manage client IT infrastructure, by monitoring up-time, viruses, windows updates, etc. remotely. (RMM – Remote monitoring and managing)
• Ensure SLAs are met and bettered on NOC tickets.
• Provide technical support to our clients for all NOC tickets.
• Identify routine alerts and failures in isolation and in relation to the greater business of the client.
• Research ongoing and improved problem solving theories and methodologies.
• Continuous feedback and updates on NOC tickets to relevant Primary Support Engineer and/or Helpdesk.

What skills do I need?

To be successful in this role:

• Previous experience with problem solving in a troubleshooting environment with Microsoft Server, Desktop and MAC Operating Systems.
• Experience with troubleshooting networks - LAN and wireless networks, firewalls, DHCP, DNS and TCIP.
• Good knowledge of back-up software and strategies.
• Good knowledge of patch management and centralized AV management.
• Proficient with a ticketing systems.

Bonus skills & attributes

• Experience with Autotask or Nable.
• Microsoft Certified Professional – MCSE, MCITP, MCTS.
• Cyberoam CCNSP Certified.
• Experience with back-up assist.
• Experience with WSUS.
