Solaris system/Aix admin at eSoft Development and Technologies

Job description

• Expertise in Solaris 11, Zones, LDOMs, Redhat Linux 7.x, Linux VM
• Thorough knowledge in Veritas Cluster/Global Cluster, VIOM, VVR, Veritas Volume Manager
• Exposure to Veritas Resiliency Platform / Virtual Business Services for Site failover / DR
• Good knowledge of DR and BCP high availability solutions
• Good understanding of SAN, NAS, TCP/IP and Firewall concepts
• Hands-on experience in Perl scripting
• VMware working experience is desirable
• Industry Standard Certification preferred (UNIX/VERITAS)
• Ability to succeed under pressure and in fast-paced environment
• Good written and verbal communication
• Knowledge on ITSM process

Knowledge of IBM pSeries Servers, VIO Servers and WebSphere Administration skills.

• The candidate’s experience should also include work with HACMP, KEON, Powerpath, TSM client administration, and EMC Storage Arrays or other similar tools
• Candidates should be able to manage day to day activities such as AIX LVM administration, software installation, OS upgrades and OS trouble shooting
• Candidates should understand HMC terminology, AIX security, TCP/IP network concepts, and minor NIM functions
• Candidates must be able to analyze basic performance to identify system bottlenecks and suggest corrective action
• Candidate must have strong verbal and written communication skills with experience in documenting Operations and Recovery procedures
