Group Financial and Tax Accountant at Malander

Job description

Our client is currently seeking a Group Financial and Tax Accountant to join their team in Rosebank, Johannesburg.

• Assist and work closely with the Group financial manager
• Assist with the drafting of financial statements
• Assist with the consolidation and group reporting on a monthly, quarterly, interim and year end basis
• Prepare and update tax packs for completion of tax returns
• Compile tax relevant information for the Group, calculate tax liabilities and submit relevant documentation to SARS including assisting with and responding to SARS queries
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting for the Group
• Facilitate the interim and final audit by preparing the required schedules and calculations
• Adhoc requirements including Group initiatives or divisional financial projects
• Prepare the general ledger for the holding company and other non-operating entities of the Group

Qualifications/experience required:

• Preferably BCom Accounting degree
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in financial accounting/tax role
• Strong Corporate Income Tax knowledge
• Good excel knowledge and experience
• Good IFRS knowledge
• Strong experience in tax and dealing with SARS
• Attention to detail and high accuracy levels
• Good communication skills and must be a team player.
