Primary Responsibilities:
- Maintain a global perspective on future of business and consumerism
- Formulate and execute continuous research (primary & secondary) and screening of trends
- Analyse large volumes of data (qualitative & quantitative) to identify patterns, extract key insights and derive meaning
- Identify "weak" signals of disruptive innovation, even in early stages
- Prepare internal and external material, designing and/or writing content relating to trends and inspirations
- Intelligently synthesise and simplify complex trends and insights
- Proactive interest in numeorus industries with a curious focus that spans technology, law, the environment and retailing, and is not limited to one specific sector.
- Working hand-in-hand with a Senior Innovation Lead in researching and delivering relevant content, building presentations, crafting trend reports, future scenario planning and assisting in client deliverables.
- Ability to formulate a monthly innovation newsletter for key clients in various industries.
- Overseeing one or more writers that compose articles for Lacuna’s industry content plan, with the ability to critically evaluate the relevance of these pieces.
- Possible assistance at client innovation workshops, acting as a facilitator and guide in running clients through internal innovation and idea-generating methodology.
- Ensure text is well written and logically structured
- Ensure that quality consistent with company's tone and style
- Proof reading and fact-checking
- Work alongside Innovation Lead in the delivery of bespoke innovation programmes
- Extract meaningful conclusions from abstract information
- Actively contributes to client presentation documents

Experience, Skillset & Qualifications:
- Very good bachelor or master degree
- Min. 6 months internships or practical work experience
- Passionate about Trends, Innovation and Solution-oriented Design Thinking
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Lateral, creative thinking capability
- Analytical, critical and lateral thinking skills.
- Trend forecasting, identification and analysis, particularly within the automotive industry and how these manifest as a result of broader economic trends.
- Ability to investigate, research and connect large amounts of information, and summarise this into workable formats for internal and external purposes.
- Excellent writing and comprehension skills.
- Positive attitude and a willingness to “roll your sleeves up”
- Highly motivated, agile and a quick learner
- Ability to work within a networked team structure in a high performance project based environment and expectations
