Salary: R market related

An experienced Project Manager is invited to apply for this position and join the Projects & Engineering team within a global leader. This is a 12 month assignment with an option to renew, based on performance.

PROJECT MANAGER JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Single-point accountable person to lead, integrate and manage development, approval and delivery of project objectives
• Leading, managing, facilitating and co-ordinating multi-disciplinary resources across the business
• Develop project execution concepts, strategies and plans
• Ensure project compliance to plans i.e. SHE, Quality, Cost & Schedule
• Management of internal and external stakeholders responsible for study inputs, including suppliers and contractors
• Develop and Manage different contracting strategies, i.e. LSTK, EPC, EPCM, etc.
• Develop and have approved estimates and ensure implementation and cost control as per approved control bases
• Ensure complete and up to date project administration is done, including steering committees

ESSENTIAL:

• BEng or BSc (Engineering) or BSc (Construction Management) or QS
• 10 + years working experience on capital project developments, studies and delivery, with specific competence in development of studies and projects, conceptual & detail engineering, project controls, construction management & supply chain, in the oil and gas industry with a preference for upstream development
• Available to be based in Johannesburg with site visits to Maputo and/or Temane
• Fluent in English

DESIRABLE:

Project Management or other relevant post graduate qualification

Desired Skills and Experience

10 + years working experience on a capital project development, studies and delivery, with specific competence in development of studies and projects, conceptual & detail engineering, project controls, construction management & supply chain, in the oil and gas industry with a preference for upstream development
