    About You

    Minimum Qualifications

    Honour’s degree in Finance/Investment Management/ CA(SA)

    Desired Qualifications

    Honour’s degree in Finance/Investment Management/ CA(SA) (CFA MBA advantageous)

    Minimum Experience

    7 years’ working experience with 4 years in Due Diligence environment

    Desired Experience

    7 years’ experience in similar environment

    • Strategic Impact
    • Supports the implementation of strategy of the Service Line / Business Area in relation to specific area of expertise
    • Implements the strategy within area of responsibility by conforming to plans set by leadership in all engagements / projects including:
      • Revenue targets
      • Talent management
      • Communication to teams
      • Tracking of plans in engagements / projects
    • Actively identifies sales opportunities in broader market
    • Contributes to preparation of proposals/tenders and presentations
    • Participates in sales presentations and client negotiation teams for new and retained business

    • Communicates detail of Engagement Letters to teams and maintains monitoring of adherence by all parties
    • Manages engagement/project risk through supervision of completion of required documentation and processes as mandated by RIL, as well as risk to client confidentiality
    • Leads / manages complex client engagements and maintains oversight of all engagements / projects within sphere of responsibility
    • Meets regularly with clients and teams to understand issues, anticipate needs and address these

    • Resources engagement teams with suitable talent, balancing correct levels and numbers and providing input into recruiting as necessary
    • Manages margins effectively through accurate budgeting, pricing and profitability management on engagements
    • Monitors that time and expenses to engagements are recorded and submitted weekly
    • Oversees WIP on projects / engagements and ensures billings are timeously done and collections followed up
    • Assist with negotiating overruns in engagements.

    Differentiators for this specific role

    • Attain consistent personal productivity of over 60%.
    • Ability to manage 2 or 3 engagements at a time. Ensure the deliverable is at the expected quality prior to partner review and that all work is submitted within required deadlines.
    • Focus on key findings to ensure deal issues and follow up matters have been identified, and appropriate recommendations are made.
    • Ensure all risk management and quality control procedures have been completed by the managers.
    • WIP management. Active management of WIP and cash collection. Achieve targets of cash collection within 6-8 weeks.
    • Manage budgets and recoveries on engagements to obtain target recoveries of 85%
    • Winning Business. Active involvement in successful proposals totalling R5 million, with personal sales of over R1 million.
    • Involvement in marketing initiatives and active follow up on targets.
    • Active follow up on matters identified in our due diligence with potential cross selling opportunities
