The purpose of the role is to operate across different accounting cycles including debtors, creditors and bank

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

Responsible for but not limited to the following broad functions:

Daily

• The Accounts clerk is required to maintain and reconcile debtors’ which includes invoicing, receipts and reconciliations.
• This position also requires the management and capturing of bank accounts into which collections are received and from which payments are made.
• The Accounts clerk is required to maintain and reconcile creditors’ which includes invoices, payments and reconciliations.
• The Accounts clerk is required to maintain various calculations with regards to business revenue and sales

Monthly

• Ad hoc reporting requirements as required by the business (Excel experience essential)
• Monthly debtor reconciliations
• Debtor receipt management

SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:

• Bookkeeping qualification (Diploma/ Certificate)
• Pastel Evolution experience preferable
• Previous experience/background in finance environment
• Preferred 3 to 5 years’ in a corporate environment with Excel experience
