Main Job Purpose

The role is part of the Unilever Global Sustainable Business and Communications Function. The role will require the ability to think strategically and work in a “hands-on” capacity in two main areas: (i) delivering internal communications in our South Africa business and (ii) improving coordination and planning across the Africa Sustainable Business and Communications team.

Job Summary

• Motivating and enthusing employees behind Unilever’s leadership, vision, sustainable living and growth ambition across different sites.
• Providing strategic guidance to the South Africa and Africa communications teams.
• Practical delivery and project management of communications campaigns or external events with maximum efficiency and impact.
• Implementing systems to coordinate and track budgets, planning and global reporting of Africa sustainable business and communications team work aiming to improve efficiency and economies of scale, and find innovative ways of doing business.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

• 4 – 6 years’ relevant experience in a Communications position.
• Completed qualification in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or Marketing.
