    Search Marketing Specialist

    Job description

    Objective:

    Responsible for all search marketing activities such as content strategy, link building and keyword strategy to increase rankings and search relevance for onsite and offsite searches.  

    Functions / responsibilities:

    • Strategy ·      
    • Work closely with 3rd party suppliers to develop a search marketing strategy which encompasses onsite and offsite plans ·    
    • Fully migrate search accounts from external management ·      
    • Compile digital SEO strategy campaigns for all authority events and always on content and show online conversion and ROI on strategic campaigns PPC ·      
    • Perform daily account management of PPC accounts on Google AdWords, Facebook and Twitter ·      
    • Maintain and monitor keyword bids, account daily and monthly budget caps, impression share, quality score and other important account metrics ·      
    • Maximise earnings across all paid search campaigns and channels ·    
    • Conduct competitor research and analysis ·      
    • PPC, display & remarketing campaigns from strategy through to implementation ·      
    • Produce weekly/monthly campaign analysis and ROI reports ·      
    • Provide recommendations and execute strategies for keyword opportunities, campaign structuring, targeting and other facets of paid search SEO ·      
    • Work closely with 3rd party suppliers to review, analyse and audit website and pages for content and to identify SEO areas of improvement ·      
    • Produce and assist with execution of SEO guidelines for copywriters, design and content team ·      
    • Work with key internal teams to develop content strategies and ensure all content is optimised for search ·      
    • Run weekly and monthly SEO reports ·      
    • Develop link building strategies, including work on blogs, relevant industry websites and social networks
    • Onsite Search
    • Continually review, research and improve onsite search capabilities and relevance of returned results

    Requirements:              

    • Matric ·      
    • University Degree majoring in either Advertising, Communications, Marketing Management or equivalent ·      
    • Google Adwords certified ·      
    • 3+ years working on search ·      
    • 3+ years proven SEO experience ·      
    • Proven SEM experience managing PPC campaigns across Google, Facebook, Yahoo and Bing ·      
    • Solid understanding of performance marketing, conversion and online customer acquisition ·      
    • In-depth experience with website analytics and webmaster tools ·      
    • Strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills ·      
    • Proven ability to be highly innovative, entrepreneurial and collaborative · 
    • Excellent verbal, written and visual communications, presentation and polished interpersonal and influencing skills ·   
    • Strong understanding of current online marketing concepts, strategy and best practice ·      
    • Project management ability ·      
    • Understanding of all Microsoft Office products
