    Recovery Technician

    Job description

    Our opportunity

    The Recovery Technician is responsible for the end-to-end negotiation and settlement of recovery claim– pre litigation.

    Your role

    Key Tasks & Accountabilities

    • Process all recovery claims in order to secure a successful recovery ensuring that Efficiency, Productivity and superior Customer Service are shown.
    • Answer telephone and email queries from the brokers, based on updated logs
    • Update notes
    • Prepare payments file on successful recovery
    • Finalise claim as per standard – Update log – Update broker – Finalise on Codeplex and financial system
    • Collaborate and work closely together with others thereby leveraging constructive team dynamics and innovation
    • Be aware of capacity building initiatives (i.e. development programmes, training, mentorship, coaching etc.)
    • Align own behaviour with the organisation culture and values
    • Achieve own performance objectives
    • Actively participate in own professional development and career path.
    • Proactively ensure use of time, of resources, money, materials or equipment is in line with policies and procedures.
    • Provide customer services in line with quality and performance standards
    • Build positive customer relations and solve or escalate customer queries and complaints
    • Gather feedback on customer satisfaction and report to the relevant party
    • Proactively suggest improvements in customer service and relations where applicable.
    • Adhere to specified standards, policies, practices and procedures.
    • Identify and recommend areas / ways to improve processes.

    Technical Skills & Knowledge

    • Computer Literacy
    • Intermediate Word/Excel

    Qualification(s)

    Your Skills and Experience

    • Matric
    • Paralegal / Legal will be an advantage

    Work Experience

    • 3 years’ Short Term Insurance Motor Recovery Claims experience
    • Debt Collecting 2 year experience

    This role is based at our Head Office (15 Marshall Street, Ferreirasdorp, Johannesburg).Within the context of Bryte Insurance Company Limited's Employment Equity Policy, all eligible candidates will be considered, however, preference will be given in the following order:
