    Job description

    Description:

    • Be able to apply sound instructional design principles to blended learning solutions
    • Be familiar and able to implement the design of action / experiential based learning programs
    • Manage and work across several projects at once
    • Conceptualize, plan and design blended learning content that includes eLearning modules, content development (script writing and/or editing), design, narration, and posting to learning management systems
    • Provide instructional design and adult learning methodologies
    • Proficient in Instructional Design, Education and/or Adult Learning Methodologies
    • Understand the principles of learner management systems, knowledge management and other online learning options and support
    • Able to develop robust learner support programs as part of a blended learning solution
    • The ability to design and develop learning programs that are implementable with the primary aim of improving performance in a sustainable manner
    • Consults on instructional design and learning objectives
    • Assists in the development of instructional strategies, course materials, assessment techniques, appropriate integration of instructional technologies and best practices
    • Designs and produces learning materials in a variety of formats including print, graphics, audio, video
    • Provides assistance in technology tools and methods, use of instructional software, and effective uses of multimedia
    • Researches and makes recommendations on educational best practices, instructional resources, instructional technologies and multimedia hardware/software to support teaching and learning
    • Designs, develops, and delivers workshops and training in the use of instructional technologies and educational best practices
    • Outlines and defines the concept for a course or curriculum, defining (needs for) the course medium, content delivery, assessments, accompanying materials, and complementary learning approaches
    • Quickly synthesize and write course content based on input from subject matter experts, written material, previous training courses, interviews, etc
    • Use PowerPoint to draft screen layouts, graphics and interactions appropriate to the content
    • Design quizzes and meaningful course interactions to increase learning and retention
    • Work with the media team, voiceover talent, video production, and graphics sources to produce draft and final versions of each course
    • Work with subject matter experts and course sponsors to collect course feedback
    • Keep track of billable and non-billable hours and report them on a timely basis
    • Proof course at multiple stages of development and make or document required changes
    • Complete various training, project management, and administrative tasks as needed
    • Participate in team brainstorming and strategy meetings to help define goals and direction
    • Keep up to date on learning tools, trends, and ideas
    • Create engaging learning activities and compelling course content that enhances retention and transfer
    • Work with subject matter experts and identify target audience’s training needs
    • State instructional end goals and create content that matches them
    • Visualize instructional graphics, the user interface and the finished product
    • Create supporting material/media (audio, video, simulations, role plays, games etc)
    • Maintain project documentation and course folders
