Job Summary

Supports the implementation of R&D elements of the Category Program. Delivers formulation aspects of innovation, renovation and cost effective projects. Contributes to the planning and execution of trials, tests, and prototyping and measurement activities within projects.

Main Job Purpose

• Carries out prototype development for projects for Refreshment including accurate recording of data.
• Inputs into the specifications and communication material for innovations, renovations and VIP
• Supports the implementation of innovation, renovation and promotional projects using the relevant toolbox technology.
• Translates local / regional needs into appropriate input for the Categories / Development organisations.
• Gives technical / functional support to launch / relaunches.
• Accurate recording and reporting of data.
• Executes comprehensive testing protocols in the laboratory.
• Executes and leads routine trials including comprehensive data recording and reporting on trial outcomes.
• Supports trials including comprehensive data recording and reporting on trial outcomes.
• Adheres to standards set by quality / safety / portfolio management systems
• Keeps abreast of developments in own area of expertise, delivering recommendations for new techniques, ways of working.
• Problem Solving: Requirement for occasional identification of problems and proposing solutions.

Key Requirements

• BSc degree or B Eng.
• 1 year Packaging plus 1 year Formulation experience.
• Good laboratory practices
