    Content Strategist

    Location: Cape Town, South Africa – In-office

    Employment type: Permanent

    Hours: 40 hours per week

    What you will do:

    • Communicate in a voice that matches the brand identity for website and related products.
    • Develop inspired communications across various distribution platforms; and have the ability to brainstorm big ideas and approaches across multiple different platforms.
    • Conceive and implement concepts, guidelines, timelines and strategies in various content related projects and oversee them to completion.
    • Conceptualisation of content strategies and engagement for consumer and B2B initiatives.
    • Assist the UX and product teams to curate copy for their respective departments.
    • Collaborate with business development, marketing and product teams to obtain knowledge of direction and positioning of the business.
    • Lead brainstorming/creative sessions to generate ideas along with data analysts and digital strategists.
    • Write and design unique and well-crafted copy that meets the audiences’ needs as well as our own.
    • Revise content and presentations, approve/reject ideas, and provide feedback to the team.
    • Define objectives and goals and develop KPI’s to measure effectiveness.
    • Community management.

    The qualifications you will need:

    • At least four years of experience.
    • An intimate understanding of content, design and web best practices/guidelines.
    • Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
    • A strong understanding of brand development and multichannel marketing concepts.
    • Understanding of marketing behavioural psychology.
    • Experience in managing and creating large scale content.
    • Excellent verbal and written communications skills with the ability to present our vision and product information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences.
    • Standout idea generators and problem solvers with excellent leadership and organizational skills.
    • A firm understanding of user experience and strong search engine optimization (SEO) and search engine marketing (SEM) skills are often preferred.
