    Qualified Technician Kia South Africa (Pty) Ltd t/a IMFRG – Fourways

    Job Description

    Specific Role Responsibilities

    • Carry out diagnostic work and support mechanics as set out by the Foreman.
    • Carry out fault diagnosis to aid and speed up vehicle servicing.
    • Take steps to ensure servicing of vehicle remains within the targeted percentages of the manufacturers' time.
    • Discuss matters with service advisors and customers as required and provide coherent explanations.
    • Ensure standards are maintained with regards to vehicle care and safety whilst performing functions.
    • Ensure vehicles are returned to the customer after service in a neat and clean condition.
    • Complete all necessary and relevant training as required by the OEM (online, classroom, other mediums of training) within reasonable time frames.
    • Admin functions: Complete forms and documentation included in the company's service routine.
    • Draft and prepare any reports required.
    • Mentor apprentices, sign off logbooks and evaluate their technical ability (if applicable)
    • Ensure effective communication with team members and colleagues across departments, with customers and service providers.
    • Participate in marketing campaigns when required for the furtherance of the business.
    • Any other duties as may reasonably be required.

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Qualified Technician; minimum 3-5 years of experience after qualifying as a Technician is essential.
    • KIA technician experience will be of advantage
    • Relevant OEM product training - will be an advantage.
    • Need excellent “fix right first time” track record.
    • Competent at operating manufacturer diagnostic equipment/ computer in order to access information required to perform the role and complete duties associated with the role.
    • Mechanical insight Problem solving and motor vehicle fault finding skills.
    • Mental alertness
    • Must have sound English communication and writing skills to accurately record findings and work on job cards.
    • Meticulous Customer orientated
    • Team player and Interpersonal competence
    • Decision making and action orientated.
    • Valid, unendorsed driver’s license

    Finance and Procurement Manager: Parts & Distribution Centre - Kia South Africa (Pty) Ltd

    Brief Role Summary:

    • This role’s core function to manage the inbound supply chain, focusing on demand planning, generating, placing, and costing orders, monitoring and managing stock levels, first pick ratios, container flow, and meeting purchasing targets as set by Principals and stakeholders.
    • The role also involves the analysis of supply chain data to optimize procurement strategies, ensure efficient inventory management, and maintain supplier relationships to meet operational and business objectives.
    • This Role also entails the overseeing of the preparation of the financial information of the part division, the Effective analysis and management of the divisional cost and revenue to ensure operations are executed effectively and efficiently.
    • This is a Senior Management position focused on Procurement and Finance.

    Key Areas of Responsibility:

    Supply Chain Management

    • Optimize inventory management by establishing and enhancing procurement processes to align with demand, availability, and cost objectives.
    • Develop, manage, and maintain supplier contracts, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic goals and safeguarding organisational interests.
    • Place purchase orders and manage order expediting processes to ensure timely fulfilment.
    • Review and evaluate supplier price proposals, negotiating terms to secure competitive pricing and favourable agreements.
    • Oversee the submission of Air/Local orders to the principal, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
    • Strategically reduce airfreight costs through efficient planning and negotiation.
    • Oversee and manage shipment lead times to ensure timely delivery.
    • Liaise with the dealer network to address back orders and ensure effective communication and resolution.
    • Prepare and submit all required reports in accordance with established policies and timelines.
    • Provide administrative support across all procurement functions to ensure smooth operations.
    • Accurately calculate and monitor the costing of both air and sea shipments.
    • Coordinate effectively with the Clearing Agent to ensure smooth customs clearance and timely delivery.
    • Sea Freight vs. Air Freight: Maintain the appropriate balance between sea and air freight to ensure cost effectiveness and timely delivery, while adhering to lead times from key supply regions (Korea, India, Slovakia, etc.).

    Finance Operations

    • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial strategy implementation
    • Drive operational efficiency and process improvements
    • Provide financial insights to support executive decision-making
    • Manage the pricing structures for the part Division ensuring the pricing strategy of the division is being executed as expected.
    • To review and maintain the accuracy of pricing being charged by the Principal suppliers
    • To Analyse and prepare all pricing changes of the parts division.
    • To oversee the Preparation of budgets, forecasts and overall cost management to understand budget variances
    • To ensure that all transactions are recorded accurately and correctly
    • To ensure that internal controls over financial information is maintained and functioning efficiently
    • Communicate with and prepare auditors information for all year end close requirements.

    Qualifications and experience required:

    • Bachelor’s degree OR Advanced Diploma with minimum NFQ Level 7 in Accounting /Finance or Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Management (or equivalent).
    • Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar environment, of which at least 1 - 3 years' was at a supervisory / team lead level of experience.
    • Extensive and demonstrated experience dealing with international suppliers and service providers, particularly in managing inbound supply chains and container logistics.
    • Proven track record in optimizing demand planning processes and achieving supply chain targets, including optimisation efficiencies.
