A well-established company in Pretoria is looking for a skilled Senior .NET Developer to join their team.

The Basics

• Relevant Tertiary IT Qualification – 3 year IT Diploma/Degree (advantageous)
• Minimum of 3 years development experience using the following technologies:
• Microsoft .NET
• C#
• VB.net (Advantageous)
• Window Forms
• Working with relational database systems such as MSSQL or SQL and knowledge of Oracle.
• Ability to create developer friendly library based on detailed technical specifications.
• Application experience implementing websites/applications for utilization by a large volume of users
• Familiar with the following technologies, applications and / or tools (advantageous):
• WPF
• WCF
• MVVM
• MEF
• NUGET
• LINQ
• Crystal Reports
• Visual Studio Online and GIT
• ReSharper
• SQL Search
• ERP
• Skills and Knowledge
• Able to work independently as well as in a team and cope with pressure
• Must be proactive, resourceful and self-motivated with strong analytical skills
• Strong interpersonal with sense of initiative and communication skills required
• Must have honest work ethics and a positive attitude.

Duties

• To design, develop, optimize and test software using .NET technology.
• Object-oriented application development with logical and analytical thinking.
• Ensure timely and accurate completion of assigned tasks.
• Familiar with full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Participate in system analysis and design of software architecture.
• Develop solutions and perform unit and integration tests.
• Apply proper version control and roll out new releases.
• Ability to learn and apply new skills quickly as necessary.
• Ability to be flexible and work hard, both independently and in a team environment, in a high pressure on-call environment with changing priorities.Good English oral and written communication skills.
