Purpose Of Job

To control and ensure that the items taken in by receiving are correctly stored to ensure proper protection of the items and the correct stock rotation when issuing to the packing and mixing lines. The storeman is responsible for issuing according to the daily warehouse plans.

Key Performance Areas

• Daily Cold Stores Inspection.
• Daily issue and receipts counting
• Daily bulk stock count
• Storage of all incoming stock and returns
• Storing and protection of stock until required.
• Issuing of bulk stock to staging against a predefined stock rotation policy (eg FIFO).
• Daily machine inspection

Experience Requirements

• Successful completion Grade 12
• Passed results for Psychomotor Testing
• Valid High Reach Forklift Licence is essential
• Formal training in Stores Management or knowledge of storing and issuing methods and procedures
• Computer Literacy is essential
• SAP knowledge
• Two years working in a FMCG warehouse environment
