Job description

SNC-L are currently recruiting Senior / Lead Planner for our Secunda operations.

Candidates must be South African Citizens and willing to work in Secunda.

Education & Skills

• Minimum of 7-10 years experience in planning with at least 2-3 years in a senior role
• Must have experience in the Construction phase of planning as the Contractor on site within the petrochemical / O&G sector
• Prima Vera Certified
• Must have the ability to understand scope of work and translate into WBS
• Background in structural, mechanical and piping works
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong MS Excel skills
• Numerically minded
• Commercially /Contractually aware

Responsibilities

• Resource loading of the schedule
• Updating of tracking sheets
• Change management and progress tracking
• Update the Schedule on a regular basis, prepare variance reports for missed Milestones
• Making sure that all hours are tracked against relevant Scope
• Set up and maintain an early warning system (look ahead program) for the procurement of material or withdrawal from client ’s stores of free issue material
• Report to the responsible Manager any area of delay that could affect the project program
• Ensure that weekly efficiency reports are produced and maintained
• Monitor efficiency and advise Supervisors of shortcomings
• Record deviations from contract plan and advise Project Manager of the same
• Review daily field reports and action accordingly
