Overview

A leading listed food service distributor is looking for a high calibre internal audit supervisor with FMCG and/or Retail experience.

Minimum Qualification:

• B.Com Accounting or Internal Auditing Degree
• Certified Internal Auditor

Experience:

• Minimum five years post articles experience
• Experience in the FMCG/Retail industry is mandatory with particular attention to stock and debtors experience

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Accuracy and ability to pay attention to detail
• Strong planning, organisational and analytical skills

Primary Areas of Accountability:

• Conducting internal audits at various branches/factories independently and in a team
• Manage/supervise and review the audit team and audit work
• Facilitate the implementation of recommendations
• Carry out internal audit activities as may be necessary for the successful execution of the audit plan for the year
• Manage performance on ad-hoc projects or special investigations
• Identify weaknesses in procedures, systems and internal controls
• Perform stock-take audits at various branches/factories/divisions

Other Requirements:

Must be willing to travel - more than 50% travel component (Locally, Africa, Middle East)
