Senior Electrical Engineer at Petroplan

Job description

• Ensure installed assets are being operated reliably
• Working knowledge of equipment failure modes and failure trends of electrical equipment
• Mitigate electrical risks through engineering out / improvement / renewal / re-design
• Manage deviations from electrical specifications or standards when necessary
• Provide Engineering solutions to improve / maintain the application of technology to optimize plant capability.
• Manage the Electrical design function to ensure that projects deliver and govern technical standards and relevant legislation
• Detailed knowledge in defined fields of electrical engineering (e.g. electrical network modelling & analysis, selection of equipment for use in hazardous areas, transformers, switchgear, motors,VSDs, protection, etc.)
• In depth knowledge of integration of electrical network and equipment
• Solve problems across all business units relating to the defined fields in electrical engineering
• Pro-active problem solving
• Acceptance/approval of electrical designs B Eng Electrical or BSc Eng Electrical or B Tech Electrical will only be considered
• A minimum of 8 years broad-based electrical engineering in the petrochemical industry and demonstrated successful project execution of multiple Tier 3/4/5 projects.
