QA Analyst Contract at Paracon

Job Description

They need you to work within the Quality Assurance Department to prepare test plans and conduct testing of developed solutions according to company guidelines and standards. You must have a sound understanding of technical components.

This Will Include

• Analysing functional specifications, creating test plans and test scripts, and executing test plans;
• Identifying and analysing defects, logging defects, and tracking defect resolution within release time frames;
• Root cause analysis of faults;
• Providing feedback to the development team, ensuring that the work is carried out in accordance with the schedule and the quality requirements;
• Creating and maintaining Automation packs;
• Performing acceptance tests with customer;
• Maintaining quality assurance environment;
• Providing estimates and feedback to the project manager/account manager for project scheduling;
• Ensuring that high quality and accuracy is maintained at all times;
• Mentoring and guiding juniors; and,
• Function Specification reviews.

Job Requirements

You need to have a relevant 3 year degree or B-Tech (Information Technology / Engineering / Computer Science), 6 - 8 years' formal testing experience, web application and automated testing experience as well as the ability to write SQL queries. You will also rely on your strong technical knowledge to be successful on the job.
