Software Engineer (JavaScript) - Abu Dhabi

We are looking for a JavaScript developer who is proficient with Node.js and React.js and can create applications end to end (full stack). Your primary focus will be on developing user interface components and implementing them following well-known React.js workflows (such as Flux or Redux). You will ensure that these components and the overall application are robust and easy to maintain. You will coordinate with the rest of the team working on different layers of the infrastructure. A commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and quality product is important. You would be contributing to the development of server-side logic, definition and maintenance of the central database, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end.

Responsibilities

• Developing new user-facing features using React.js
• Building reusable components and front-end libraries
• Translating designs and wireframes into high quality code
• Optimizing components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers
• Integration of user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server side logic
• Writing reusable, testable, and efficient code
• Design and implementation of low-latency, high-availability, and performant applications
• Implementation of security and data protection
• Integration of data storage solutions

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science & Engineering, or a related field
• 2+ years experience
• JavaScript
• DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model.
• Node.js and frameworks such as Express.
• React.js and its core principles and workflows (such as Flux or Redux)
• Familiarity with newer specifications of EcmaScript
• Experience with data structure libraries (e.g., Immutable.js)
• HTML5, CSS3
• RESTful APIs
• Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token
• Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools
• Experience with common front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, NPM, etc.
