Job description
Dial a Nerd Business is looking for a technician with a minimum of 7 years’ experience in the IT industry. Experience in rolling out or migrating to new servers, Exchange and Office 365 is required.
Current position would be ideal for a person who enjoys being involved in projects or rollouts of various systems. A solid foundation in IT is required as this person will often be faced with new technology and issues. The person would be expected to manage a group of technicians and take on a role of a technical project lead reporting directly to a Project Manager. This person should be someone who has a positive outlook, enjoys a challenge and can communicate well with customers, suppliers and internal staff.
Technician Experience should include: Networking, Ethernet & Wi-Fi etc.; Internet i.e. ADSL, LTE, fibre, microwave etc.; Printing and Scanning; Folder Sharing; Troubleshooting; Email, Diagnose and resolve desktop related problems. PST, SMTP, POP errors etc.; Computer backup, format and reinstall (BFR); Software installation; Windows Support 7 - 10; Mac OS; Computer hardware; DNS (Basic / Dynamic); MS Office; User Administration (AD new users / passwords etc); Anti-Virus; Backup Monitoring; MS Server and subscription Services.
