Faurecia South Africa is looking for a General Accountant for its Accounting Shared Services Center located in Cape Town.

The General Accountant is responsible for the integrity of the financial statements through the monitoring of data processed by accounts payable, and the closing of books in a timely manner. The function is split into four main processes: Reporting, Monthly Payments, Statutory Submissions, Forecasting of interco payables.

Essential Responsabilities And Duties

The General Accountant is responsible for all intercompany reporting & accounting, which includes :

• Liaise with interco partners and head office
• Process invoices
• Raise accruals
• Follow up & investigate any queries relating to intercompany
• Forecast intercompany payables
• Receive invoices, match against Po’s and process for payment
• Gather shipping documents to prepare & submit to cashbook for payment
• Prepare VAT calculation & submit the returns to SARS on efiling
• Submit PAYE returns on efiling
• Complete and submit information to STATSA .
• Contribute to the input of data for monthly reporting process

The Ideal Candidate Will Have/be

• Higher accounting degree
• 2 to 5 years of professional experience
• Computer literacy and strong Excel skills
• Good organizational skills
• Strong teamwork sense
• Good communication skills
• High energy
• Self-driven and autonomous
• Fluent English
