Pre-Sales Solution Design & Support at Teraco Data Environments

Main purpose of the Job

This role is responsible for supporting the Service Management Team and Sales Team to provide accurate solution design and support a technical level

Main Function of the Job

• Provide accurate solution designing proposals and associated costing.
• Assist Sales and Service Management with a solutions and support approach, on a technical level.
• Assist Sales with solution designs on RFI’s and Tenders
• Assist Service Management with client Project role-outs and sign off of installed design
• Management of data centre reservation maps and implementation of automated Reservation Map with Development Team
• Implement defined standards, policies and procedures in line with TIA, ISO methodologies.
• Be familiar on a comprehensive capacity plan for Teraco. This will include, but is not limited to, power, space and cooling.
• Work with 3rd party vendors and suppliers to ensure acceptable service levels are met and necessary services are performed, and to be informed of latest changes and improvements in the data centre market segment.
• Respond to and perform miscellaneous duties as directed by management.
• Interact with all areas of the Teraco business.
• Maintain record keeping for cabling and design systems
• Assist in ensuring consistent optimization of all systems (hardware & software) to achieve business targets.
• Stay abreast with new technologies, products and designs

Outputs

• Assist in coordinating carrier and client deployments and installations
• Skills transfer and training sessions.
• Ensure process implementation and operation thereof are in sync across all locations.
• Develop Standards and implement best practice guidelines in line with Teraco products.
• Provide support and assistance to the business.
• Stay abreast with current technology changes and product enhancements.
• Set a standards specifications document for all Teraco Data Centers in line with data centre systems
• Act as technical resource for all client project build, ensuring standards and qualities are applied in accordance with Teraco standards.
• Supplier and technology research.
