    Group Financial Reporting and Tax Manager

    Job description

    Purpose:

    The purpose of this role is to manage the completion of accurate & timely financial and management accounting and reporting for all group entities up to consolidated level. To implement tax planning and structuring on company and group level. To ensure relevant processes & internal controls are in place in order to facilitate Clickatell’s compliance with statutory, tax & legal requirements across the group.

    Key responsibility areas:

    • Overall group tax planning and structuring, and per Clickatell entity
    • Responsible for transfer pricing policies, benchmarking, calculations and allocations
    • Preparation, management and submissions to Tax Authorities of VAT and Corporate Tax calculations, controls and advice
    • Responsible for the oversight and planning of the any tax related audit and preparation of schedules including working within the designated subsidiaries / regions
    • Exchange control (SA Reserve Bank, NOTAP etc.) and other statutory compliance work & submissions
    • Stock Option Plan support and annual 409A valuations
    • Manage business insurance needs for the group. Ensure policies are up to date and reviewed at least once a year. Ensure all insurance claims are submitted on a timely manner to the insurance broker
    • Manage and provide leadership to the FP&A team, ensuring they produces timely, accurate and relevant financial & management accounting information
    • Review and completion of all financial reporting with variance analysis and communicate financial results to management as required
    • Provide support to Commercial Managers as required
    • Review and verify sales commission calculations and assist with compilation of annual sales commission plans with financial scenario testing
    • When required, support to the Legal team for all company secretarial & Corporate governance related functions and reporting
    • Review vendor application forms as required by customers and suppliers
    • Assist the Finance Director in the financial internal controls of Clickatell companies
    • Assist HR in BBBEE reporting

    • Demonstrable experience of excel skills and good working knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel.
    • Ethical and principal based working methods.
    • Ability to think creatively and take an innovative and flexible approach to problem solving in a fast hanging technology driven company
    • Self-starter who can work with minimum of supervision
    • Experience of creating and sustaining a culture of responsive, timely, reliable and knowledgeable service to users
    • Ability to prioritise tasks and manage personal and departmental schedules effectively to meet tight deadlines
    • Project management skills

    Experience and education:

    • Master Degree in Corporate Tax
    • CA (SA) with 5 years’ post article experience
    • IFRS and US GAAP experience
    • Proficient in IBM Cognos tools (TM1) and OneSource
    • Tax and Financial planning and modelling experience
    • Experience in creating and maintaining complex spread sheets. Advanced MS Excel skills essential
