About The Position

Functional Competencies

• Relevant IT Degree Diploma (Informatics / Information Systems / Information Science Degree) or equivalent experience
• Relevant industry expertise including knowledge of products, processes, applications and technology
• Working knowledge of regulatory reporting, management reporting, budget and planning
• IT and Business Trends
• Working knowledge of Compliance Frameworks (ICT, ECT, BEE, SOX, COBIT &ITIL)
• Exposure to Design and implementation of Enterprise Architecture
• OO UML (RUP)
• Informatica PowerCenter skills/experience (including Workflow Monitoring and Automation)
• Informatica PowerExchange skills/experience (including Deployment Utility)
• BI/ODS experience and skills
• SQL Server skills/Experience
• Informatica Data Quality skills or experience is a bonus.
• IT Security Standards
• Project Leadership
• In-depth knowledge of information architecture and user-centred design processes, techniques, and tools.
• Proven background in the concepts and application of standards / practices for application and information systems design
• Working knowledge of current integration methodologies and technologies
• Experience supporting / implementing Line of Business Systems, Business Intelligence, Databases, Workflow, Middleware, Portal and Knowledge Management systems.
• Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate successfully with technical and business colleagues at all levels of the organisation.
• Ability to synthesize information and identify salient points, visualise solutions (high level and detail), grasp complex relationships and explain intangible concepts clearly.
• Strong facilitation, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
• Strong ability to lead and influence effectively.
• Ability to direct large scale projects from vision through implementation.
