    Data Management and Application Support Specialist [SQL]

    Job Description

    The main focus of the Data Management and Application Support Specialist will focus on providing support across Apex BI’s proprietary software, applications and automation functions. This is a technical role that requires the candidate to also liaise between Development and Customers. Another strong focus area is the operational up time of the solution as well as the data management and flow of data between different systems and data sources.

    Key Competencies

    • Bachelor’s Degree will be advantageous
    • 5+ years of experience supporting Windows platform and Web applications
    • 3 to 5 years SQL (MS-TSQL preferred)
    • 3 to 5 years MS Excel - Intermediate to Advanced
    • Sound understanding of Databases
    • Database Administration skills
    • Design and Build SQL Reports for Internal and External Customers s well as for External use
    • Good T-SQL skills and relevant experience
    • Strong Excel skills for Data Analysis will be advantageous
    • Experience in using SQL Server Versions 2012/2014/2016
    • Attention to detail and quality
    • Problem solving skills
    • Minimum 3 Years’ experience in SQL  Area
    • Strong verbal and written communication skill targeted to a variety of audiences including technical and non-technical users.
    • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, social environment, yet be able to work independently as necessary.
    • Previous experience supporting business applications strongly preferred
    • Experience in working with Telecoms data is an advantage

    Tasks will include:

    • Manage and resolve support tickets for systems and applications
    • Provide troubleshooting expertise for Apex BI proprietary applications in production and support environments
    • Draft and maintain solutions / process documentation
    • Follow established procedures for managing business risk when updating production systems
    • Manage data loading process for Daily and Monthly loads
    • Participate in projects that enhance the Apex BI solutions
